Air Zimbabwe resume flights in Zambia

Many people will have been aware that Air Zimbabwe has had a series of flight disruptions to and from Lusaka following an industrial action by the airline’s crew. The good news is that since the 21st of April, Air Zimbabwe flight operations have been back to normal.

The airline would like to thank all its valued customers for their ongoing support especially during the recent period of flight disruptions. They also sincerely apologise for inconveniences caused by the disruption of flights and would like to reaffirm their commitment to providing reliable services to all. Air Zimbabwe is committed to the effective implementation of Air Zimbabwe Safety, Quality and Security Management Systems. They are currently undergoing a fleet replacement programme which will see the gradual phasing out of the entire B737-200 fleet the airline has been operating. In the mean time Air Zimbabwe will be utilising the B737-500 on long lease from Zambezi Airlines. The airline will use cockpit crew from the Zambezi Airlines while training for the Air Zimbabwe crew continues. The phasing out of the old fleet is to ensure and guarantee safe operations and a quality service to their valued passengers.
