Development sectors in Zambia

Zambia is a developing country and the development sectors reflect this with economic development as a major thrust but a holistic and multidisciplinary approach includes the context of human development, as well as other concepts like sustainable development, competitiveness, quality of life or utilitarian measures. Human development encompasses foreign aid, governance, health care, education, poverty reduction, gender equality, disaster preparedness, infrastructure, economics, human rights, environment and issues associated with these. The institutions concerned with policies that focus on these and alleviating poverty and improving living conditions including those that provide international aid will be found here.
