Freshpikt has become the leading manufacturer of high quality canned goods in Zambia and surrounding countries. Their products have high food safety standards, are wholesome and sold at an affordable price. Production began in mid-2006 when a small range of products were launched in Zambia. Within one year Freshpikt became the biggest selling brand in the local retail market. Since then their range and market share have grown steadily. In 2008 Freshpikt began exporting to Zimbabwe, South Africa and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Freshpikt products are available locally in Spar, Shoprite, Pick n Pay, other supermarkets and in many wholesalers.

Freshpikt farms
Freshpikt farms currently supply about 50% of the factories ingredient requirements. The rest of the raw material needs comes mainly small scale farmers. As a result Freshpikt controls its raw material supply and provides a market for reliable Zambian farmers. They provide a market for farmers in Zambia, which is stable, transparent and in line with the national development goals of Zambia.
The future for Freshpikt
Freshpikt is currently the largest local manufacturer and distributor of canned products and is pursuing various distribution strategies. Freshpikt has a vision to grow the company through a commitment to excellence and continued improvement of the range and quality of products. Freshpikt is in the process of obtaining certification from the British Retail Consortium of Global Standards for Food Safety, as a food manufacturer. This will allow them to export to the EU and most countries worldwide.
