The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing pediatric HIV infection and eliminating pediatric AIDS through research, advocacy, and prevention, care, and treatment programs. Founded in 1988, EGPAF supports activities in 19 countries around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of the projects M&E plan
  • Execute monitoring and evaluation activities as defined in the projects M&E plan
  • Support the SI&E Technical Advisor in monitoring data quality and tracking the progress of M&E activities
  • With the SI&E Technical Supervisor`s oversight, work with the Supply Chain Logistics Coordinator and the project officer-quality Assurance to ensure all data generated throughout the project is efficiently and accurately captured and reported
  • Suggest ways to facilitate data collection and the flow of data within the project
  • Support project staff and POCEID site staff on ways to properly document, organize and capture data generated throughout the project
  • Work closely with the data Entry Associates to ensure project data is accurately and timely entered into the project`s data base
  • Assist the SI&E Technical Supervisor in building capacity of project staff in monitoring and Evaluation requirements of the project
  • Perform regular field visits to ensure the quality the quality of data collected by POCEID site staff and to verify the accuracy of reported data
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in existing data collection and management systems and propose solutions
  • Support the SI&E Technical Advisor to ensure that data queries are addressed in an accurate and timely manner

Qualifications

  • Graduate degree or diploma in Information Management, project Management, public health, epidemiology, statistics, M&E or other relevant field
  • Previous experience working on HIV/AIDS programs
  • Minimum of three years` experience working in public health monitoring and evaluation

Other Attributes

  • High level of computer literacy with expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
  • Capacity to produce high quality briefs and reports
  • Good level of proficiency in Windows Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to train and build capacity of others
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English with good writing and effective presentation skills
