  • The Senior Buyer will develop and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies. Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnerships
  • The senior buyer will also negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  •  Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
  • Liaises with key company employees to determine their product and service needs
  • Deliver a weekly purchase order report to management that indicates the vendor invoice number for all closed purchase orders
  • Work with the inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
  • Assist the Supply Chain Director with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis
  • Monitors business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company
  • Identifies and researches potential new suppliers
  • Researches new products and services to meet company’s goals
  • Assesses total costs of company purchases
  • Develops and implements strategies for procuring, storing, and distributing goods or services and maintaining stock levels

  • Logistics Skills
  • Strategic Planning Abilities and Experience
  • Degree or Advanced Diploma in CIPS or any business field
  • Knowledge of Supply Management Software (Database Management, Inventory Management, Financial
  • Analysis, Point of Sale, Procurement, Project Management, and Enterprise Resource Planning)
  • Manufacturing Industry Knowledge
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Must be a member of CIPS and ZIPS
