Our Client is looking for a Workshop Manager who has had experience in workshops repairing tractors, combine harvesters and construction machinery to join their team in Lusaka or Mkushi.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible planning, leading, organizing, and supervising the day to day activities of the Workshop Section, controlling the quality of repairs
  • Supervise the maintenance and repair of all of the vehicle fleet, including Tractor Trailers and other technical
  • Support equipment (electrical, electronic and mechanical) ensuring that overhauls, preventative maintenance and repair are done in a cost effective manner, with attention given to quality and longer duration of equipment
  • Ensure that the equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable working condition in accordance with planned preventive maintenance program and to identify and rectify repetitive problems
  • Committed to providing leadership and direction to labor to ensure that they present the epitome of end results
  • Proficient in leading and controlling skilled labor and work crews engaged in all mechanical aspects of the project, along with the ability to optimize resources and ensure timely completion

Qualifications

  • University / College degree in Mechanical or related field
  • Requires at least 5 to 7 years of general supervisory experience in general maintenance section, Responsible maintenance and repair experience, including specific knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical and related
  • Requires specific technical knowledge of maintenance and repair of various vehicles, including Tractors
  • Professional technical qualifications in the vehicle and equipment domain
  • Leadership and management skills with an ability to motivate others
  • Hands on ‘real-world’ mechanical experience and knowledge
  • Sound judgment informed by extensive practical knowledge and experience
  • Innovative, inventive and analytical, able to pre-empt and resolve problems with ease
  • Responsive and good under pressure
  • Able to handle conflict and resolve differences of opinion
  • Five (5) Years of Experience
