Croc Valley Camp: Safari accommodation

The exceptional location of Croc Valley Camp makes it a regular host to elephants, giraffe, buffalo, hippos, monkeys, antelope and crocodiles. Bird life can also be viewed in abundance with exceptional sightings of many of the migratory birds plus regular residents like open billed storks, African fish eagles, bee eaters and many more. Set in an oasis of calm along the bank of the Luangwa River, Croc Valley Camp was fully renovated in February 2005. The camp fits effortlessly into the surrounding riverine habitat with fantastic views. It is not uncommon to see elephants crossing the river and strolling through the camp. The chalets are completely environmentally friendly. In order to escape the off-season floods they are raised on stilts, providing a fantastic viewpoint from which to see the wildlife.

Catering and camping
Throughout your stay, chefs provide quality meals and snacks using fresh ingredients. For those who wish to self-cater or camp, full kitchen facilities are provided. A fully-serviced campsite welcomes campers and overland trucks.

Safaris
Escorted by a professional guide and fully trained scout, travel along nature trails outside the park in the surrounding riverine habitat along the river. Whether you want to go on safari in the comfort of the especially adapted game viewing vehicle or to venture out on foot, safaris are tailored to the needs of guests with resident guides with intimate knowledge. Between safaris, in the midday heat, the hippo friendly swimming pool provides a place to relax and cool off. Hammocks are scattered around the camp over-seeing the river and the swimming pool. The bar is always open, serving ice cold drinks throughout the day, and giving an opportunity to catch up with the news on satellite TV.
