Kaingu Safari Lodge nestles on the river edge of one of Africa's great rivers, the Kafue River. It is some 200 Kilometres upstream from the Kafue River confluence with the better known Zambezi River and 400 Kilometres north of the awe inspiring Victoria Falls. Situated on a high plateau, 1200 metres above sea level, Kaingu Safari Lodge enjoys an all-year-round moderate climate as a getaway from the pressures of everyday life.
Kaingu Safari Lodge is an activities based river lodge where there is no shortage of things to do. But it is you who sets the pace on this Zambia safari experience. You may just want to sit back, relax and enjoy the environment. Or you can find a private spot to read a book or enjoy some much needed quiet time. Or you can choose from activities like walking safaris, sundowner walks and cruises, bird watching and fishing on the Kafue River. And Kaingu Safari Lodge has recently introduced the Kafue River trail. These guided canoe trails can take up to 4 days. Guests discover the riverine nature and sleep in camps put up for the occasion.
The Kaingu Safari Lodge guide team, trained by the very involved lodge owner Tom, is exceptionally knowledgeable. They will accompany you on land and river telling stories rich in Zambian folklore and culture and sharing their knowledge of nature's wonders. Here nature will reveal itself to you at its own rhythmic pace.
