Lusaka West School has put a lot of effort into developing attractive buildings, fully-functional facilities and beautiful grounds, creating a pleasant conducive ambiance for learning and growth. Opening in 2007, it aims to educate children within a wholesome Christian environment through the provision of internationally recognised education. The school encourages Christian fellowship and respect for various religious practices among the pupils.

Lusaka West School is a privately owned institution founded on the belief that true education affects the total person by developing academic, spiritual, social and physical faculties of pupils. Hence their motto, 'holistic development through education'.

The school has a student population of more than 200, with a capacity of 300. Most of the pupils are Zambian, but a growing number come from other countries including Angola, Egypt and Botswana to mention a few.

Lusaka West School facilities
Among the facilities are the library, state of the art science and computer laboratories together with spacious and well ventilated hostels and classrooms. The school subscribes to the Keep Zambia Clean Campaign and the surroundings are always looked after meticulously.

Staff
The aim of Lusaka West School is to help children attain their maximum potential. With well qualified educators in all subjects the school employs 21 teachers and over 30 supporting staff members.

Grade 8-9 curriculum
Junior secondary pupils follow the Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) Syllabus. Subjects offered are English, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Geography, History, Civics, Office Practice, Religious Education, French and Computers.

Grade 10-12 curriculum
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) syllabus is for senior pupils. Subjects offered are English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, History, Business Studies, Principles of Accounts, French and Computers.

Co-curriculum
All pupils are obliged to take part in co-curricular activities. They must choose at least two activities from Drama, Anti-Aids, Scripture Union, Board Games, Jets Club, French Club, Football, Basketball, Volleyball and Netball.
