Namununga School Secondary school

Namununga is a co-education school for both primary and secondary school levels, providing quality education in a vibrant and nurturing environment. The school has established itself as one of the leading Private Schools in Lusaka. Over the past 28 years the School has achieved excellent Grade seven and nine results, and equally impressive grades at grade 12 level, over the last 10 years.

Computer application technology
Namununga have two well equipped computer centres available to secondary students. Computer application technology is taught from grade 10 to 12 so that secondary school students are given the necessary skills, in full Office suite, internet and email.

Science lab and library facilities
The science lab is well equipped to provide students with an interest in the scientific fields an environment in which they can thrive. The library department for secondary school students allows an environment from which students can develop research skills, gather information skills, benefit from private study and develop their individual general reading interests. There is an excellent reference section here and books can also be borrowed.

Extra-curricular programme
Participation in a wide range of cultural and sporting activities gives pupils an opportunity to exhibit their individual talent and develop self-discipline while valuing the strength of a team. Children enjoy a variety of educational tours that are arranged every term. These tours take pupils to various places of interest, to inform, educate and expose. Part of the Namununga ethos and a strong cultural tradition includes stage productions that are a regular feature of school life, from Primary through to Secondary. The school is well known for its successful performances of dramatical and musical productions. Rhetorical skills are developed with participation in the highly successful debating and public speaking teams. There are a range of extra-curricular activities available to the primary school students. These include educational camps and outings, speech and drama, music, art club, chess club, anti-aids club, Redcross, Jets and Namununga community service club. Sporting activities include netball, soccer, athletics and swimming.

Special needs
The school has a special needs class catering for children who need more individual attention. The level of service given is based on the abilities of each child. This is a free community service that is offered by the school.

Lunch, tuck shop and the school bus
Freshly prepared meals are provided from the school kitchen, so parents need not worry about preparing their children's lunches.There is also a well stocked tuck shop is available for the kids though fizzy drinks are not sold in the tuck shop, as part of Namununga's efforts to promote healthy diets.
