Magnum Security currently operates security services in Lusaka and the Copperbelt, and plans are under way to expand to other areas in Zambia. Their focus has always been, and will continue to be, on security tailored to the needs of the commercial, industrial, retail and Government markets.

Magnum Security guards are monitored by computer-based Guard Monitoring Software which allows them to monitor their activities electronically. Clients can rest assured that their security guards are on duty protecting their property. Rapid response vehicles are parked at strategic locations around each city in which they operate, for fast and efficient security responses. The vehicles are equipped with radio communication facilities, sirens and maglites and they are manned by highly trained and qualified personnel. Their senior personnel are supplied with licensed firearms. The company has a fleet of vehicles dedicated to its professional guard services and specifically equipped vehicles for emergencies and rapid response.

The pricing for the guard service and rapid response services is highly competitive compared to other security companies. Magnum Security augments its guard and rapid response services with the integration of electronic security systems such as access control, CCTV, alarm monitoring and intruder monitoring, vehicle tracking and recovery, and fleet management services.

Recruitment of security guards and rapid response personnel
The recruitment and screening exercise for guards and rapid response personnel is very thorough. The minimum educational qualifications for security constables is Grade 9 and above and  Grade 12 and above for Inspectors and Chief Inspectors. Potential candidates are finger printed and screened through the Criminal Records Office of the Zambia Police Service under the watchful eye of the Operations Manager, Mr. George Kauseni, former Deputy Commissioner of Police. Recruits are also required to present reference letters which are carefully authenticated. Successful candidates are then enrolled in the Magnum Security training school, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.

Clients who use the Magnum Security services include the United Nations, NGOs like Care International and World Vision, embassies such as the American Embassy, JICA, NAPSA, Konkola Copper Mines, Zambia Sugar, Zambeef, Cavmont Capital Bank, Finance Bank, First Alliance Bank, BP Zambia (all depots) and the Zambian Government (Office of the First President, Cabinet Office, National Assembly and most Government Ministries).
