KaingU Lodge is a great weekend camping destination in the Kafue National Park in Zambia. It is easy to get to via the D769 (Itezhi Tezhi Road) which is tarred right to the KaingU turnoff. They have three quality campsites, each with an ablution block with hot and cold running water, a kitchen sink, fire pits and sheltered area. Lodge facilities are not part of the campsite but activities, meals and laundry can be organised for camping guests.

Fig Tree Bush Camp overlooks a large lagoon, 1.7 km long and about 60m wide. This lagoon maintains it's alluring water throughout the season attracting an array of wildlife including elephant, puku, impala, warthog, zebra, and hartebeest. Predators like lion, cheetah, leopard and hyena are regular visitors.
Mayukuyuku Camp is perfectly placed for either motoring visitors or backpackers. It breaks the journey if you are travelling west to the Barotse Plains, Liuwa National Park, or the Kuomboka Ceremony near Mongu. This camp is unique in that it is accessible by two wheel drive vehicles.
