Mitigating the Effects of Flash Floods on Bridges

The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) in the Office of the Vice President will be receiving a Civil Engineering innovative solution entitled, "Mechanically Stabilised Wall With Geosynthetic Reinforcement and Gabion Facing; an Effective Solution to Mitigating the Effects of Flash Floods on Bridge Crossings"

This innovation has been developed by Tomorrow Investments Limited, a local contractor to arrest the washing away of bridges and cutting off of roads in the rainy season.
