Job Responsibilities

Location: Mapatizya in Southern Province

Assist the Head of Operations in the execution of all mining activities

Control, supervise and direct mining operations in line with Mining Regulations

Oversea the health and safety of all workers on site

Responsible for reporting accidents in terms of Mine Regulations 1601 and for submitting reports, labour, minerals and explosives returns

Interaction with local authorities & community for smooth operations

Assist in obtaining statutory permissions (mining license, environmental clearance etc)

Should have good knowledge in mechanized mining & deep hole blasting

Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications

Full Grade 12 certificate coupled with degree in mining engineering

At least five (5) years’ work experience at senior level in mining operation

Ability to work under minimum supervision

Strong commitment, leadership and management skills.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and computer skills.

Strongly results orientated with a clear determination to succeed.
