Responsibilities

• The Assistant Spares Sales Officer will provide customer service to walk / phone-in clients and determine the correct irrigation spare part for a customer by inspecting the old part, having the customer describe the problem and searching catalogs for stock numbers and prices

• The Assistant Spares Sales Officer will explain how a part functions, demonstrate proper use of Irrigation equipment and provide advice and installation instruction to customers

• Summary of Key Responsibilities

• Keeping track of back-orders and advising customers of progress

• Intercepting arriving goods and putting them aside for waiting customers, and then advising customers of their arrival

• Putting together lists of items on pallets in the collections bay in time for collection, and with the correct paperwork

• Contributing to pro-active replenishing of shelves to ensure no stock outages

• Assisting customers in putting together lists of items required, based on their sketches and explanations

• Take product orders from customers and process sales or other transactions

• Fill customer orders from stock and place orders when requested items are out of stock

• Gather customer or product information to determine customer needs

• Assist customers, such as responding to customer complaints and updating them about back-ordered parts

• Follow up on clients who have not settled their accounts on time

• Supply the right goods as fast as possible

• Ensure client’s invoices are ready on time

Ensure that the client’s orders are met on time

Qualifications

Diploma in Sales and Marketing / Business Administration or any Commercial Field

Two (2) years and above working experience in the IRRIGATION INDUSTRY

Must have the technical know-how of Irrigation spare parts.
