Responsibilities

Superintendent Ventilation

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, controlling and coordinating all surface and underground environmental conditions at Mopani (Nkana and Mufulira Mine Sites) to sustain a healthy and productive working environment in compliance with all relevant Mining Regulations

Qualifications

Diploma in Mine Ventilation

Ten (10) years’ Mine Ventilation experience in an underground metalliferous environment

Experience with ventilation and mine software including Ventsim and Surpac

Ability to use Ventsim software for environmental analysis and modelling

Must have a very good understanding of underground cooling systems (BAC)

Conversant with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project and Power Point)

Good oral and written communication skills

Fully paid up membership of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)

Must be registered with the Engineers’ Registration Board (EngRB)
