The Projects and Dam Safety Department of the Authority currently has vacancies for the positions of a Designs Engineer and a Projects Assistant to be based in Siavonga but operating from the Authority’s Office in Kariba. The positions are open only to Zambian nationals meeting the pre-requisites for the said jobs.
o To provide support and create balance in the time and scope of executing projects.
Under the Supervision of the Senior Manager — Projects, the Projects Assistant will carry out the following Key Responsibilities:-
o Store, manage and track project documents.
o Scan, image, organize and maintain documents by adhering to the Authority’s document lifecycle procedures.
o Archive inactive records in accordance with the records retention schedule.
o Control the retrieval of documents.
o Receive and process Requests for Information (RFls) from employees or clients, maintain the RFls via tracking logs and create new templates as the RFI procedures are updated
o Assist the Senior Manager-Projects develop and maintain documents such as minutes of meetings, drawings, specifications, approvals and related items.
o Train employees on records management procedures and policies, which include documentation, retention, retrieval, destruction and disaster recovery.
o Assist with file migrations and audits, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications And Experience
o Education: Five (5) ‘O’ Levels
o Professional: Diploma in Library and Information Science or equivalent
o Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position with a reputable Organisation
o High level of proficiency in English both oral and written
o Excellent ICT skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Word
o Membership of a Professional Body
