Standard Chartered Bank Zambia Plc We are currently looking for Senior HRBP The role holder will work as a strategic partner with the various function heads ,and to help enhance functional performance through appropriate advise & facilitation of robust & integrated people management tools and processes.

To work in close partnership with CB function.

  • Dealing to ensure appropriate HR solutions are provided ,and to create and sustain a good industrial relations climate within the Businesses to support the optimal use of the Banks Human Resources to meet Business objectives as well as to serve as the functional specialist for specific HR programmes/processes to support the strategic direction and be responsive to changes in the Business.

Job Role

Relationship Management:

  • To assist/support line managers in aligning business and people plans and objectives using strong consultation skills and appropriate HR interventions and employee engagement tools such as performance coaching, engagement and values.
  • To coordinate and influence the development of a performance culture through effective implementation of global, integrated people plans with appropriate measures of success.
  • To partner and to contribute to the formulation of HR strategy to ensure that people and talents are considered as critical success factors to manage the country Talent pipeline in functions.
  • To be a Strength Finder coach to managers and individual employees, and partner in meeting development needs.
  • To act as an advisor to Line Managers to facilitate change management in supporting business transformation programmes.
  • To prevent and minimise employee relations issues that will link to problems with Union or labour department.
  • To ensure data accuracy in peoplesoft and provide MIS to Business Managers with regard to staff headcount, turnover, absenteeism, skills profiles and other relevant HR statistics.
  • Works with CB to build talent pipeline for the Business Unit, including identification and development of high potential staff and succession planning.

AML Employee responsibility

  • Ensure you always remain alert to the risk of money laundering and assist in the Bank’s efforts in combating it by adhering to key principles in relation to :
  • Identifying your customer
  • Knowing your customer
  • Reporting suspicious transactions
  • Safe guarding records and
  • Not disclosing suspicions to customers.
  • Ensure both you and all your staff are adequately trained in combating money laundering
  • Central liaison point of HR issues for Legal and Compliance and Financial Control
  • Sensitivity to HR issues facing the Business and recommendation of appropriate solutions
