Customer Service Assistants (X2)

Eastern Water and Sewerage Company Ltd (EWSC) is a Commercial Water Utility Company providing water and sanitation services to seven districts in Eastern Province and Chama in Muchinga Province. The company requires the services of CUSTOMER SERVICE ASSISTANTS (2) who should be prepared to start work at the shortest possible time. The positions require dynamic, self-motivated persons to be based in Chipata.

Main Purpose of the Job:

  • The main purpose of the job is to collect meter readings, attending and resolving customer complaints, serving of bills and notices, carrying out repair and maintenance to the water supply network pipes and accessories in order to ensure continuous distribution of supply of water and sanitation services to the customers and members of the public.

Education / Qualifications:

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 ‘O’ levels including English &Mathematics
  • Craft Certificate in plumbing OR Diploma in Business Administration, Accountancy, Public Administration, Public Relations OR Any Recognised Business-related field.
  • Experience – specific knowledge in operation of water supply & Sanitation service provision will be an added advantage.
  • Computer Literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • A clean and valid Driver’s Licence or Motorbike Rider’s Licence is NOT a must but will be an added advantage
