Sales And Marketing Associate (X1)



Job Purpose

  • The Sales and Marketing Associate will maintain and enhances the department’s sales and marketing functions by planning, implementing, and evaluating progress achieved for the purposes set out. In addition, S/he will provide assistance to the members of the team and other members of the company as will be deemed necessary to support efficacy and efficient business operations.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • In liaison with the Sales and Marketing Manager, acts as customer accounts manager for North Western, Eastern, Southern, and Copperbelt provinces as well as Choppies, Pick and Pay and all customers West and North of Lusaka.
  • In liaison with accounts department, Tele sales assistant and the Sales and Marketing Manager, maintains an up to date customer data base including location, telephone number and other relevant information for all customers under the jurisdiction.
  • Creates daily market visit sheets and maintains clear information of visits made, business generated and other remarks as they will be beneficial to the company.
  • Demonstrates cold calling efforts in areas of jurisdiction to grow sales and increase orders of existing customers based on daily, weekly and monthly targets as will be allocated by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
  • Collates customer needs and complaints to management through the Sales and Marketing
  • Manager through concise but beneficial weekly reports.
  • In liaison with the Tele Sales Assistant, ensures customers are informed of relevant information including delivery of stock ordered, promotions on offer as well as new products introduced on the market by the company.
  • Works with merchandisers and drivers under jurisdiction to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • Communicates important information to merchandisers and other staff under jurisdiction.
  • Participates in formulating marketing plans and their execution as will be guided by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
  • Demonstrates courtesy and respect towards all customers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Diploma Sales and Marketing or in a relevant field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing in the FMCG sector
  • Good computer skills.
  • Should have a valid driver’s licence
