IT Officer

Pulse Financial Services Ltd (PFSL) trading as Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC), is a deposit-taking microfinance institution licensed by the Bank of Zambia. The institution offers specialized financial services to micro and small enterprises including business women. The institution started as a CARE Zambia project in 1996. In 2009, the institution got a Deposit Taking License from Bank of Zambia. In 2011 PFSL joined the International Network of Entrepreneurs Financial Centre – EFC and is now trading under this name and is operating in Zambia, Tanzania, Uganda, and Panama. You shall among other things:

  • Ensure the installation, maintenance, repair, update and correct operation of the computer equipment, software and other IT devices at the Branches and Head Office
  • Ensure that there is connectivity between EFC branches and maintain their networks.
  • Provide user support per request from various constituencies.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
  • Ensure the security of the network, server, data and software for the Company.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Manage the workstations, servers, network hardware, printers and inverters;
  • Maintain a reliable and efficient backup system
  • Maintain the virtual private network
  • Keep the inventory of the computer equipment up-to-date at the Branches and Head Office
  • Update the antivirus programs
  • Delete and prevent irrelevant information from the computers;
  • Install computer applications required by the employees;
  • Support the installation and maintenance of LAN and WAN network for the transaction software SAF at the Head Office and Branches;
  • Update the software and procedures for the implementation of SAF at the Branches
  • Enter the new employees in the computer system and cancel the access of former employees.
  • Assist in Computer hardware installation , troubleshooting and maintenance

Requirements:

  • University / College Degree in Computer Science;
  • Should have 2 years of work experience in system administration and user support.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative;
