Payment Specialist


  • As a Payments specialist, you will be reporting to the Senior Payments Specialist, you will handle all accounts payable and associated operations such as reviewing payments, Preparation of payment authorization forms, preparing reports, and all vendor relations in line with the company expectations.
  • Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviewing all payments to make sure that they meet all technical requirements for approval and authorization.
  • Preparation of payment authorization forms and other documents concerning payment approvals.
  • Preparation of reports required by the senior payments Specialist
  • Respond to vender enquiries.
  • Maintain files and documentation accurately, in accordance with Company policy and accepted accounting practices.
  • Maintain interim filling system of all documents (physical and electronic) required for all approval and authorization of payments.
  • Other duties assigned by the Senior Payments Specialist

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • Professional, ACCA, CPA or CMA
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results oriented.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (including Word and Excel
  • Two (2) years working experience in the same or senior position.
  • Three (3) traceable references with working phone numbers.
  • Working Environment
  • Typically working in an office environment, with minimal physical activity. May require long periods of sitting and concentration when working with data.
