The Procurement Officer will work closely with the Procurement Manager and the other key stakeholders on all sourcing needs for the company and help to identify where aggregated spend might offer better value for money.
Administering supplier contract and assisting in the implementation of supplier contracts.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Work with the Procurement Manage to oversee procurement processes, including review of purchase requisitions, request for quotations, supplier selection, negotiations, purchase and delivery forms
Management of leases, contracts and agreements for services and goods.
Ensure that Company procurement policies and procedures are adhered to.
Follow-up local purchase orders, payments, and delivery confirmation.
Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
Primary Areas of Accountability:
Qualifications and Experience
Advanced Diploma in Purchasing and Supply.
Must have a minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in the field of Purchasing and Supply with demonstrable knowledge of the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) regulations.
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent writing skills.
Must be a member of ZIPS
