Assistant Examinations Officer

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the formulation and amendment of University examination rules and regulations, related policies and procedures
  • Provide assistance in the preparation of the University Examination schedules
  • Keep up-to-date with all examination requirements, schedules and ensure that staff and students are aware of the relevant changes, communicating these as necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation for and organization of all exams in accordance with the University rules and regulations
  • Ensure proper receipt and storage of all examination papers as submitted by examiners and be responsible for all examination stationery.
  • Ensure that examination papers are distributed to the examiners as required by the regulations
  • Provide assistance in the supervision and management of exam invigilators.
  • Make appropriate provision for students with special requirements and ensuring arrangements for candidates with special needs are met.
  • Ensure that the examination rooms are ready for exams, i.e. the distribution of examination materials, collating candidate cards and stop clocks
  • Assist in the processing of examination results for all university exams.
  • Perform any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Education.
  • At least 3 (three) years working experience in the education sector preferably in examination related matters.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft excel and use of data bases
