Zambia Centre for Communication Programs

Location: Lusaka

Responsibilities

  • To implement and coordinate community activities in line with Annual Work Plan and Budget for ZCHPP
  • Develop annual, quarterly and monthly implementation plans and budgets with key stakeholders such as Ministry of Health, MCDSS, MoCTA, MOG and other district stakeholders. The plans should be shared with all partners.
  • Hold regular coordination activities with stakeholders through joint implementation, feedback meetings and other important avenues
  • Implement all the work plans according to plan and budget
  • Work in partnership with the Ministry of Health and other partners especially those funded by USAID and other NGOs to facilitate HIV Testing Services
  • Facilitate referrals for high impact services (ART, HTC, VMMC, FP, and other services) and ensure completed referrals of more than 90%
  • Coordinate facilitation of male and female condom demonstration and distribution to end users by community volunteers
  • Engage with beneficiaries/clients from priority populations the projects serve. These should participate in the entire project cycle
  • Conduct mentorship and supportive supervision of action plans done by all trained community volunteers like Peer Educators, Lay Counsellors, WORTH Filed Facilitators, Change Agents and HIV Prevention Champions addressing SGBV, Social and cultural norms, gender equity
  • Hold monthly meetings to strengthen the community client referral feedback mechanisms
  • Participate in all important meetings at provincial and district levels like the , commemoration activities and other meetings
  • Coordinate all quality assurance (QA) and quality improvement activities
  • Submit consolidated monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports as shared in the Award Documents The reports should be accurate from the process that collects, reviews, capture and analyze M&E data regularly and updated database and graphs printed quarterly
  • Get as much photos as possible for all events
  • equest and account for funds timely according to the finance regulations
  • Attend to any other assignments as delegated by your supervisor

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

  • Registered Nurses/midwife, Degree in Nursing, Clinical Officer, Environmental Health Technologist/Technician or Degree in Social Sciences.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience implementing and developing social/economic programmes
  • Background experience with HIV management especially counselling, VMMC, condom demonstration and distribution, HTS, life skills training and peer education, referrals management
  • Knowledge in medical/nursing and gender programming, an added advantage
  • Good communication skills, with good spoken and written English.
  • Good understanding and communication of local languages spoken in the respective district.
