Shelter Assistant

The role of the Shelter Assistant will be to provide support in monitoring of activities related to shelter and construction, site planning and maintenance to better meet the needs of the persons of concern and to enforce technical protocols and guidelines

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Grade Twelve Certificate or Equivalent training in civil engineering/Architecture or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of previous relevant job experience.
  • Advanced computer skills (AutoCAD, Microsoft project, MS Office).
  • Experience in supervision of basic construction works.
  • Good knowledge of local construction techniques, materials, laws, standards, markets and prices.
  • Good innumeracy skills in measuring quantities and maintaining records of materials and works progress.
