Reseller Channels Lead

Airtel Networks Zambia plc. is a major telecommunications service provider offering cellular radio solutions to private and corporate customers in Zambia. The company was known as Celtel Zambia plc. until a name change in 2013. Airtel Networks Zambia is a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel Zambia Holdings BV.

Create and manage Distributor channels to ensure reach into all outlet profiles which have Walk-in customer interactions for device purchase, i.e. Branded device chains, Computer accessory outlets, Standalone key device stores, Large format retailers, and create a robust process of servicing these outlets thru Partners to enable through put and outlet share.

Reporting to the head-broadband, the successful candidate will:

  • Increase Home Broadband sales in all device selling outlets
  • Identify and Tie-up large format retailers and Mobile device chains thru long-term programs including management of promoter models etc.
  • Create Distributor partners for reaching out to Standalone device outlets
  • Computer outlets contribute significantly to Home broadband sales given the complimentary nature of product.
  • Create channel partners to access this marker.
  • Achieve assigned gross add targets through efficient management of sales channels and outlets.
  • Stock management for all outlets and channels
  • Controlling and minimizing the churn of new business
  • Ensuring compliance to all regulatory requirements – managing subscriber enrollment, documentation, etc.
  • Providing the necessary support and training to different channels and sales executives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Technology with in-depth understanding of telecom trends
  • MBA in Marketing
  • 7-10 years of experience in leading a highly qualified and experienced team in a highly complex environment
  • 5 years of in-depth Sales and Marketing experience in the telecom/ FMCG/ Retail industry
