Job Summary
The Development Officer – Shelter will be responsible for facilitating the planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting of construction technology activities working with the local authorities and UNHCR and other Implementing Partners. S/He should have strong civil engineering knowledge and will work with partner staff and other project staff providing technical support for manufacturing stabilized Soil- Cement Bricks (SSBs) using SSBT and in the construction of semi-permanent shelters, also the manufacturing of sanplats to promote durable sanitation solutions. Working with other project staff will promote Income Generating Activities and entrepreneurship around SSBs and sanplats. Promote gender equality, inclusive governance and building resilience actions in both the refugee and host communities.
