Programme Coordinator Faculty of Law

The University of Africa is looking for a suitably qualified coordinator in the School of Law.

Job Description

  • To manage and play an active role in leadership of the programme area and department, working with the Head of Department and Faculty senior team to realize the objectives established in the faculty and University strategy and contribute positively to faculty and university strategy for enhancing the student experience, including the enrichment of teaching and learning by research.
  • To lead the programmes of the department so as to ensure adherence to set standards
  • To lead the activities and programmes in relation to accreditation with professional bodies and High Education Authority (HEA)
  • To actively be involved in the recruitment of new students in the faculty
  • To work closely with Head of Department
  • To participate in planning , making residential time-table, and budgeting processes in the faculty
  • To advise and support colleagues using interpersonal knowledge and experience, to assist and supervise the work of Lecturers
  • To undertake income generating activities including promotion of marketing, Continuing Professional Development, consultancy and assist facilitating short courses
  • To participate in staff development and review processes and in service training
  • Able to meet targets and objectives set by the HOD and the Management team

Qualifications

  • Masters in Law
  • Minimum of three years of experience.
  • Computer literacy
