Director of Events and Marketing

The International School of Lusaka is looking for a qualified and experienced Director of Events and Marketing to start work in August 2019. This position is an outward facing position, Director of Events and Marketing (DEM), to market the school, assist with events and use events as passive marketing. This will be compensated sufficiently to attract an individual with the requisite initiative, creativity and motivation to market the school effectively.

Hours: Full time (likely Tuesday – Saturday)

Responsibilities

Events - Design and implement a varied set of events to enrich students’ lives and strengthen the school community. These should include athletic (in collaboration with the Athletic Director), academic, cultural and creative events.

Marketing - Improve the school’s public profile by securing participation in and publicity for school events and activities and by producing and distributing marketing materials. School events should be seen as passive marketing opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related field
  • At least two years’ experience in marketing and events coordination
  • Experience in International School programmes and curriculum will be an added advantage, although not a requirement
  • Member of Zambia Institute of Marketing

Compensation: Competitive based on candidate profile.
