Business Specialist & Strategist – Information Technology (International Operations)
To manage profitably the Information Technology division of SCI Zambia , its group companies, JV partners, SPV’s which envelopes all businesses in the value chain including handling turnkey projects, PPP( Public Private Partnerships) . Must have handled portfolios exceeding $3mn.
Good understanding of tendering process, tender preparation efforts for clients assisting with specifications, complete sales process including cold calls, pre sales, negotiation and conclusion of orders. Determines approach for customer, based on assessment of customer needs. Guide subordinates and peers and channel in Pricing of solutions.
Exhibit knowledge on appropriate pricing strategies and develop such strategies with management.
Must recommend appropriate solutions for the Turnkey projects in Information technology and large IT solutions including Enterprise level architecture solutions.
Provide market intelligence on competitor’s activities in the geographies and keep a very keen eye on such information and knowledge.
Develop excellent rapport with customers, decision makers, influencers, operators, technicians at client. Must develop ability to represent the management to Government, Ministries, Permanent Secretaries and Top level Government officials.
Develop new dealers and channel management in regional markets
Knowledge on Technical aspects of various Information Technology solutions that goes into different categories of market segments like Banking, Government, Industry , Institutions and guide customers for appropriate selection of solutions that will ensure customer profitability.
To handle service issues through service personnel or group level SME( Subject matter experts) depending on the gravity of the situation
To ensure superior customer service and excellence in line with the policies of SCI Zambia Limited
Determine methods and procedures for new business models, entries into new verticals in IT business, develop new partnerships with world class solutions providers in the field. Experience and develop strong knowledge of IT concept development, deployment, and support for Africa continent.
Experience and provide strategic inputs in management of the health care business for the group
Develop capabilities to assist Senior management in strategic issues in growing company/ group to higher revenues and profits in all verticals and ability to handle other business verticals should you require to do so.
Provides problem resolution of complex problems to junior personnel.
Vendor coordination for technical issues
Sales and Technical training of Channel (if any) and sales, service staff.
Design policies and procedures for the Sales and Technical department in line with Kaizen and ISO9001 practices .Ensure 100% documentation in your department.
Job involves managing technical,commercial and managerial lines in IT and Healthcare business. SCI Zambia is expanding and knowledge and keenness to learn on emerging technologies is desired.
Set targets for Sales and Service performance
Develop opportunities for Annual maintenance contracts, rentals business
Participate actively in Kaizen programs conducted by the management( you are part of the management) and develop Kaizen projects with teams.
Ensure development of Zambian employees and employees of dealers, group companies in different countries to higher levels of knowledge and excellence.
Must exhibit very high levels of professionalism, integrity and leadership and be an example for your subordinates, peers and channel partners.
