The University of Zambia School Of Medicine’s “Strengthening Health Professional

Workforce Education Programs for Improved Quality Health care in Zambia” (SHEPIZ)

Project is a five-year USA NIH funded program with a focus on enhancing specialist health

workforce for the improvement of quality health care in Zambia.

Job Summary

The job holder will be responsible for developing the M&E framework and tools, putting in

place data quality assurance processes, coordinating the implementation of the program’s

M&E plans and, providing technical support, as well as building capacity of project country

teams.

Attributes

  • Excellent problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications, presentation and negotiations skills.
  • Conversant with leading M&E processes.
  • Proficiency in statistical software such as STATA, EPI Info or similar software for
  • analyzing public health data and large datasets.
  • Conversant with quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Knowledge of health systems strengthening, especially on Zambia HMIS and other
  • databases.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate or its equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences: Economics/Business Administration/Social
  • Work/Public Health/Statistics/Demography/Population studies/project Management or
  • other related field.
  • Master’s degree in in social sciences: Economics/Business Administration/Social
  • Work/Public Health/Statistics/Demography/Population studies/project Management or
  • other related field.
  • At least three (3) years proven relevant work experience.
