Front Office Assistant

We are seeking a friendly, organized hotel receptionist to join our team. In this position, you will welcome guests to our hotel, make room reservations, and attend to guests’ needs or questions. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring that guests experience maximum satisfaction, presenting an excellent image of our hotel that leaves a lasting impression.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate computer programs and multi-line phone systems
  • Maintain guest records and book reservations
  • Complete basic cashier and bookkeeping responsibilities
  • Contact necessary staff to solve problems when challenges arise, ensuring guest comfort
  • Welcoming guests on arrival at the Hotel.
  • Ability to operate front office posting software i.e. Opera
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Manage Guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely
  • Good marketing skills
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of the facilities offered by the Hotel and
  • ensure selling of the same.
  • Thorough knowledge of the all payment methods.
  • Ability to handle guest departures and settlement of bills in foreign currency/credit card.
  • Knowledge of the foreign exchange market
  • Maintain the professional appearance of the Front Desk with a focus on hospitality and Guest service.
  • Knowledge in guest check-out procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Hospitality or Hotel management
  • Aged between 22 and 35 years
  • Minimum work experience of 2 years in handling guest service responsibilities, preferably in a five-star hotel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Fluent in English
  • A proactive approach to dealing with issues that may arise
  • Highly organized, able to multitask and prioritize and work under pressure
  • Proficient in MS word, Excel and Opera
