Human Resources Information System Lead

Jhpiego is an international, non-profit health organization affiliated with the Johns Hopkins University. For 40 years in East and Southern Africa, Jhpiego has empowered front-line health workers by designing and implementing effective, low-cost, hands-on solutions that strengthen the delivery of health care services, following the household-to-hospital continuum of care.

In Zambia, Jhpiego leads implementation of the Health Workforce for the 21st Century (HW21) project aimed at accelerated progress towards addressing key human resources for health (HRH) systems barriers to sustainably achieving President’s Emergency Fund for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) 95-95-95 goals with the following objectives:-

  • Increase regulatory Councils and MOH capacities in HRH management through strengthened HRIS for decision-making.
  • Increase the number and capacity of nurses to prescribe ART to manage and provide ongoing support for PLHIV and provide PrEP to HIV negative individuals.
  • Improve health care workers’ HIV service delivery capacity through continuing professional development (CPD) by building tele education/tele mentoring technology platforms.
