The Zambia Association of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (ZAGO) is a non-profit organization established in 2005 with main function of bringing together and representing medical professionals who are specialized in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Zambia.

ZAGO is an affiliate of the International Federation of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians (FIGO) which is a global institution representing the interests of Gynaecologists and Obstetricians and providing guidance to the practice of Obstetrics and Gynaecology globally. The Association undertakes various projects seeking to improve the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRH&R) of Zambian women and adolescent girls.

ZAGO has embarked on a three years’ project from 2019 to 2022, aimed at advancing women’s SRH&R and improve access to SRH services. The organization seeks the services a Project Manager, with the duties outlined below.

Job Summary

Reporting to the ZAGO President, the Project Manager shall coordinate implementation of the project, assign responsibilities to, and supervise the project team, prepare reports and related project documents, and provide leadership on the day-to-day activities of the office.

Key Result Areas:

  • Project Management, Coordination, implementation and monitoring, capacity building, administrative support, budgeting and any other duties assigned by the ZAGO Council.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Health or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with extensive experience in managing health programs may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Project Management, Grant management, Microsoft Office applications.
