Trainee Stores Controller

Background

Curechem Zambia Ltd, a leading supplier of high quality agricultural, food grade, industrial, water treatment and mining Chemicals is recruiting for the position of Trainee Stores Controller. This position is for CureChem Zambia`s Kitwe Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Stock Reconciliation
  • Daily updating of stock in and out.
  • Daily reconciliation of stocks with Bin cards / tally and physical.
  • Report stock variance/ damages and theft immediately noticed
  • Reconcile all the receipts and issues booked in system with manual documents on daily basis.
  • Resolve stock query immediate noticed.

Deliveries

  • Making sure deliveries are done to customers on time.
  • Making sure stocks are inspected of Quality/ expiry date/ cleanliness before dispatch to customer
  • Arranging transport to for deliveries on time if need be to outsource.
  • Maintaining Purchase order reports as to when deliveries are done to customers.
  • Following up with drivers if any delay from delivery to meet time deliveries to all customers.

Warehouse House keeping

  • Ensure warehouse area is clean all the time
  • Ensure proper staking of stocks in warehouse to avoid damages and spillage
  • Ensure product are kept in a clean environment.
  • Ensure work suit for casuals are clean all the time.

Warehouse locking

  • Ensure that all the warehouses are locked before leaving the premises daily.
  • Ensure that you are present as to when the warehouse is being open and closing.
  • Ensure that all the lights are switched off before locking daily.
  • Ensure all the stocks are in a secured area before leaving the premises daily.

Processing of warehouse documents

  • Ensure Goods Received vulture is raised based on the actual stocks received.
  • Ensure that all the GRVs, GRCV, Decants, Stocks Journals from Lusaka Office, rejection in are processed in tally immediately.
  • Filling of stocks records immediately.
  • Ensure to circulate stock received report immediately received.
  • Ensure to report immediately on the variance of stocks received against documents.

Fire Fighting Equipment’s

  • Ensure that firefighting equipment are serviced and ready to be used all the time.
  • Ensure that firefighting equipment’s are stores in the area that is easy and possible to accesses easily by anyone in case of fire.
  • Ensure that all employee are trained on how to use the fire equipment’s.
  • Ensure all the time that stocks are not stored near fire hazardous.

Monthly Stock Counts

  • Ensure monthly stock take is carried out without fail with other department personals as assigned and circulate the report same day.
  • Ensure to circulate the stocks reconciliation of month end stocks take within five days of stock count without fail.
  • Ensure stocks are kept in a safe place in warehouse.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Minimum of Diploma in a CIPS studies from reputable training institution.
  • A minimum of one-year work experience in stores or warehouse management.
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Good computer skills in word, excel and PowerPoint email.
  • Good interpersonal relations.
