Temporary Accounts Assistant

Lake Road PTA School invites suitably qualified and motivated candidates to fill the

position of Temporary Accounts Assistant for a period of six months contract.


The job of the Temporary Accounts Assistant is to be responsible for preparing on timely

basis, entries to the financial statements reflecting receivables, payables, and cash books.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prompt receipt of all fees paid into the School accounts, reconcile and updates all
  • receivables accounts
  • Prompt issuing of updated receivables statements during mid-term break;
  • Prepare and submit the updated receivables age analysis every Monday and as demanded
  • for quick debt recovery
  • Prepare analysis of receipts and payments for petty cash
  • Manage the daily cash processing cycle and update the cash books
  • Prepare, correct and reconcile input data to the General Ledger, checking the accuracy of
  • journal vouchers when assigned
  • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Assistant Accountant, Head
  • Teachers and the HODs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all accounting information of the school


  • Experience working with Sage Evolution Pastel
  • Experience in accounting procedures and policies
  • Aability to place urgency on varying demanding tasks.
  • 2.4 Ability to work in teams


  • Qualification: Grade 12 certificate
  • A minimum of level II of; ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia
