Job Summary

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, the Human Resources Operations Manager will provide support to the Head – Human Resource in the overall strategic management and administration of the Company’s human resources function.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Administering of procedures and policies regarding leave, advances, loans and other benefits to conform to the conditions of service
  • Assist to manage recruitment process for administration staff
  • Implementing the provisions of the collective agreement and conditions of employment in the promotion of harmonious employee relations
  • Interpreting all grievance and disciplinary procedures to ensure fair and timely resolution of all cases
  • Liaising with management and union executives through co-ordination of formal and informal meetings such as joint management/ union consultative meetings
  • Compiling of monthly reports on manpower statistics and other employee related issues for management
  • Ensure Finance and Administration records are updated in accordance with staff changes
  • Organizing employee functions such as long service awards ceremony and annual staff party
  • Ensure appropriate dissemination of Information to members of staff i.e. announcements, internal job advertisements, promotions, meetings,
  • Offer general support in administrative functions.

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • University graduate in Human Resources Management/Social Science
  • Working knowledge of HR information systems
  • At least 4 years working experience in a related role
  • Good inter-personal skills, computer literate, analytical skills, ability to discern trends, communication skills, high integrity, honesty, networking and relationship building skills
  • Computer knowledge – Word, Excel and Power point
  • Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM)
  • Valid driving license
