Zambia has been implementing the World Bank supported Pilot Programme for Climate Resilience (PPCR) aimed at strengthening Zambia ‘s institutional framework for climate resilience (while) improving the adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities in selected sub-basins. This phase strengthens capacity at both national and local levels, whilst piloting the mainstreaming of climate risk management into spatial planning. Investments supported by the Zambia PPCR on the ground include participatory adaptation, climate-resilient infrastructure and strategic program support in agriculture, water, livestock, fisheries and natural resources and climate information services. The investments were targeted at helping the country to manage challenge of land degradation, unsustainable land use and climate variability and change. Western Province has made significant progress in scaling-up antiretroviral treatment (ART) towards epidemic control. The Zambia Population-Based HIV Impact Assessment (ZAMPHIA) 2016 report shows that Western Province has the HIV prevalence at 15.9% in the ages 15-59 years with 47.3% viral suppression in Zambia. Significant age and gender gaps exist in males between the age groups of 20-24 and 25-29 and females in the age groups 15-24 and 25-34. Further, TB and cryptococosis are significant causes of mortality among PLHIV. Inadequate capacities among HC/Ps to ensure quality of care remain a major concern necessitating the importance of clinical mentors to ensure quality service provision at facility level. WPHO, with support from PEPFAR through CDC, is rolling out Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) to selected ART sites in the province. Project ECHO is a novel tool for clinical mentorship and training which allows experts in HIV management to routinely share best practices for HIV care and treatment with healthcare workers throughout Zambia via a virtual learning network. Scope of work The District Medical TB/HIV Mentor (DMM) will be responsible for improving HIV/TB clinical care cascade focusing on meeting targets for epidemic control and improving quality of HIV/TB services provided at all sites in the district(s). In order to achieve this, the mentor will spend majority of their time providing site level mentorship. Caritas Czech Republic an international NGO active in humanitarian aid and development cooperation, will be implementing a Project with title ‘Agribusiness for LIFE – Livelihoods, Innovation, Food & Empowerment’ in Mongu, Limulunga, Kaoma and Nkeyema Districts of Western Province and Mumbwa District of Central Province in Zambia, is looking for a Project Coordinator: Responsibilities Manages and coordinates the project implementation in Western and Central Province (Mumbwa District) Ensures that technical, financial, and administrative activities are carried out according to CCR and donor standards (outputs, outcomes delivered according to CCR and donor requirements) Bears responsibility for achieving targeted project outputs and indicators Prepares regular reports Maintains project financials, works with and supports the Finance Manager to ensure that appropriate systems and procedures are in place and being followed; Produces brochures, success stories, and other materials to promote the program’s successes within CCR and the broader development community Manages and evaluates local project staff Actively seeks and establishes partnership and linkages with institutions and private companies relevant to project implementation Maintains excellent relations with partner institutions and relevant governmental authorities Formally represents Caritas Czech Republic on project sites Cooperates on formulation and preparation of national strategy and mission development in the country. Requirements Proven experience in project formulation, implementation, project cycle, project identification at least 3 years Experience with project management and management of project team Good networking skills Good interpersonal and organisational skills, professional manners Experience in Agribusiness, Value chains, Marketing & Cooperatives Fluent in English – excellent written and spoken skills Experience working for international organizations or NGOs Experience dealing with governmental, non-governmental bodies Integrity and willingness to work and produce results in a dynamic environment Good time management, commitment, team worker, innovative, reliable and hardworking, able to work under pressure Tertiary (university) education in agribusiness, agriculture, cooperatives or marketing Understanding of financial management and budgetary skills Excellent ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience in foreign countries, preferably developing countries Experience with UN, EU funds, USAID preferred.
