The Zambezi River
The Zambezi River is about 2,700 Kilometres from source to mouth and is the river to explore for many on an African fishing safari. It is the fourth longest river in Africa, after the Nile, Congo and Niger rivers, and the largest river flowing into the Indian Ocean. Predictably it offers a diverse and exciting fishing safari experience. The Zambezi River's most spectacular feature is the Victoria Falls or Mosi oa tunya which means the Smoke that Thunders. This is the world's largest waterfall and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. The Victoria Falls is a vision of energetic splendour, a captivating reminder of the sheer power of nature. As you fish you can take in the breath-taking and varied scenery along the Zambezi River, while viewing a huge variety of wildlife from the territorial hippo to the soaring eagle. Enjoy churning rapids through to the serenity of a gentle flowing river.
