White water rafting

Bundu Adventures offers low water, high water and multi-day rafting experiences. The Zambezi River below the Victoria Falls is widely considered to be the very best rafting river in the world. A deep channeled, high volume river, the Zambezi has class 3 to 5 rapids interspersed with tranquil pools and fabulous views. Daily trips range from 3 to 9 hours and multi-day trips range from one to five nights.

Hydrosurfing

Catch the river waves at Rapid number 2. This is a fun and easy to learn river activity.

Kayaking

Paddle the mighty Zambezi with your own kayak or hire one from Bundu Adventures. Porters are available to help take your gear down the gorge.

Guides and safety

All white water rafting, canoeing and kayaking trips are led by expert guides with vast knowledge of the area. You'll enjoy being part of small groups under the guidance of world-class international guides. Experienced chefs and porters are on hand for trips that include meals and gear.

Comprehensive safety briefings are undertaken and since safety is always a priority, rafting, canoeing and kayaking may be closed if the river reaches a certain level. This can happen in March-May due to the high water level in the rainy season.

Canoeing the Zambezi on a river safari is more relaxing in places and allows you to drink in the river life and scenery! Follow a qualified canoe guide on the Zambezi River in search of abundant wildlife! Options include day trips and multi-day canoeing on the Zambezi River. Canoe between the many islands in an inflatable two-seater canoe, enjoy delicious meals served on a wild island on the river and take in the wonders of Zambia's birds and wildlife. You will stand a good chance of seeing crocodiles and various species of antelope, not to mention the abundant birdlife. Bundu Adventures offers an overnight option that will give you the true wilderness experience.

At certain times of the year when the water is low it is possible to swim in the rock pools right underneath the waterfalls. This is an unforgettable adventure by Bundu Adventures right in the heart of one of the most beautiful places on earth! Experienced guides will accompany you to the nearest cascade where you can swim and relax in the rock pools right below the waterfalls.

Tents and equipment Tents used for Bundu Adventure's mobile camping experiences are large dome type tents (3,5 x 2.5 m and 2 metres high) with a maximum of 2 guests accommodated in each. The tents are spacious and provide ample room for camping beds and luggage. The camping beds (2 metres long, 60 cm wide and 50 cm high) are fitted with 50 mm high-density foam mattresses covered with fresh linen. A small freezer is built into the Landrover to keep perishables fresh.

Zambia self drive The team will accompany you in their own vehicle while you have the independence to be on your own with the advantage of having a back-up, should you encounter any problem in the bush. Bundu Adventures are able to tailor your self-drive itineraries and you will visit remote areas that are difficult to access without the knowledge of a local guide. Bundu Adventures will arrange all bookings so you can relax and enjoy your holiday on a fully catered trip.
