Specialty Emergency Services (SES) is a primary health care clinic and medical services provider with extensive experience in emergency care and evacuation. With bases in Lusaka, Livingstone and Kitwe, SES provides emergency response, paramedic and ambulance services, and medical cover plans and services. Specialty Emergency Services is a trusted emergency service company with over 20 years of experience operating in Sub-Saharan Africa. The company provides emergency evacuations and routine transfers either to local medical centres or to first grade hospitals in South Africa, as required.

The SES Advanced Life Support (ALS) paramedic service meets the highest medical standards.

With bases in Lusaka, Kitwe and Livingstone, Specialty Emergency Services is able to provide a swift response to reach patients even in remote areas, via deployment of road or air ambulances.

The medical response team is available 24 hours a day to assist patients in an emergency. Paramedics are trained in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS®), Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS®), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS®) and Aviation Medicine.

Specialty Emergency Services offers on-site paramedic and ambulance services for corporate or event purposes. First aid training is also available, as well as the provision of first aid kits, medical equipment and medical supplies.

A primary health care clinic is located at Specialty Emergency Services offices, Sandy Creations, Lilayi, Lusaka. The clinic is staffed by Dr Sarah Taylor a family physician with a post graduate degree in Dermatology.

The clinic is staffed by Mrs Irene Muwowo a clinic nurse with 15 plus years of South Africa and United Kingdom experience.

Health insurance membership scheme

Although SES is open to all members of the public on a fee-for-service basis, the company affords its members piece of mind through a range of medical cover plans. A variety of individual and corporate medical cover plans are available to meet your requirements. Specialty Emergency Services policies are Amethyst, Amethyst Plus, Sapphire, Gold Plus and Platinum.

Specialty Emergency Services is the service provider of choice for many international insurance and healthcare providers in the region. In 2013 it partnered with Unihealth Africa, a regional organisation that provides bespoke healthcare solutions for organisations.
