Wasa Camp

Updated 10 months ago
Wasa Camp is a rustic but comfortable camp in Kasanka National Park, overlooking Lake Wasa, and close to Sitatunga hide and Mushitu swamp forest. It has nine chalets, six of which have en-suite facilities and private verandahs. The camp offers excellent walking trails, as well as safaris by canoe and four-wheel drive. Also a good base for bird watching. Kasanka National Park's wide variety of different types of vegetation results in it harbouring a diverse range of animal and bird species.

Safari camps

As well as elephant, buffalo and thousands of puku, you'll find Sharp's grysbok, Lichtenstein's hartebeest, sable and the shy roan antelope. Kasanka's predators are shy, but hyena, lion and leopard do occur, along with a host of mongooses, and the rare, slender-snouted crocodile.
