Our take on a classic: made using the London Dry one-shot method, we distill a grain spirit with carefully selected botanicals including citrus, lemon verbena and – of course – juniper. Excellent in a gin and tonic served with a twist of lemon and a sprig of rosemary; smooth enough for a martini.
Made from a triple distilled grape spirit this gin is inspired by flavours from the Mediterranean. It is infused with olives, rosemary, basil, thyme and cardamom with overriding citrus notes and hints of juniper. It is a savoury gin, if you love olives, serve it “dirty” in a gin and tonic with a green olive and a dash of brine, or else serve in a gin and tonic with a slice of orange, sprig of basil or an olive and rosemary.
A more contemporary style, our Salt River Gin brings South African flavours to the fore. Also made using the one shot method, this gin is influenced by our distillery’s location based in the heart of the Western Cape: distilled from a grain base with eight botanicals including juniper, hand picked kapokbos (wild rosemary) and buchu from a farm on the Winterhoek Mountains as well as organic citrus peel. Best served in a gin and tonic with a small slice of grapefruit and a sprig of thyme, or with some summer berries.
A core of rich blackcurrants, black plums, with a savoury overlay, meat extract, white pepper, mixed spice. The velvety texture is a result of maturation – the wine is at the perfect drinking age – and fine-textured tannins. Complex layered and well crafted.
Deep fruitcake richness on the nose, cinnamon and nutmeg spices, followed by a perfectly balanced, silky smooth, streamlined body. Misleadingly accessible, despite the current appeal, there is enough underlying power for a long future ahead.
This wine is characterised by a sweeping spread of rich fruit and is given texture and resonance from generous oaking. An admirable harmony of flavours ranging from ripe peach and apricot to citrus peel and lemon preserve accompanied by toasted pine nuts and a long lasting creamy textured finish. The Destination’s long aging potential will reward patient cellaring for up to 10 years post bottling.
Clear and bright, straw with a hint of green. Oak and fruit are perfectly matched, each having its say without dominating; citrus peel and melon enriched by a subtle, savoury biscuit overlay. The limey acidity seamed through the fruit flavours gives food-friendly freshness and promises a few years’ ageing potential.
Ruby with a garnet edge. An expressive nose, bramble-berries, campfire smoke, dusty savoury spice, this is a complex layered wine, providing lots of interest. Already delicious, the bit of age has made the texture smooth and rounded, with beautifully integrated tannins, but there is still a good future ahead.
A youthful but complex concentrated fruit wine. Layers of different red and black berries with hints of smoky spice, and dark-toned fruit. As a result of the excellent vintage and careful maturation, it is succulent, silky smooth with polished tannins. Although it's currently drinking well, there is enough underlying structure for further maturation.
Shows the expected hedgerow fruit, scrub, dried herbs and white pepper which comes from these varieties, along with an evenly balanced oak structure. Full bodied and smoothly luscious, it is ready to drink, the freshness adding lift and vibrancy to the dark fruit and liquor ice richness.
A well-judged partnership of the classic Bordeaux varieties, resulting in an elegant, harmonious wine for earlier drinking rather than long cellaring. Juicy plums and brambleberries, a savoury spice dusting from the oak, some dried herbs, giving it versatility for a range of food dishes.
The nose shows prominent aromas of dark cherry and sweet violet, with additional notes of pepper. The palate is soft and juicy, with freshness and a long finish.
Very light in colour light hues u of green, apple and passion fruit nose, crisp taste, nice acidity, lingering finish!
Has the pale straw colour of youth, with a tinge of green. A complex wine, there’s melon and grapefruit on a bed of apple and Bosche pear, with a seam of freshness giving vitality and extending the flavours. Reflecting the vintage, this shows perfectly ripe fruit, full flavours and round finish. Full of character and delicious.
Ruby, clear and bright. Blackcurrants and raspberries, a hint of violets, with the French oak well balanced to allow the fruit to shine. It shows nutmeg, vanilla, and white pepper perfume, and finishes with just enough grip to promise good cellaring potential. An elegant, polished wine, already drinking well. Best drunk until 2026
An elegant wine with classic aromas of rich cherry tobacco, cigar box and dark fruit, complemented by silky tannins, which is well structured and delicately smooth.
