This handsome new design from ZT and Dmitry Sinkevich begs to take pride of place in your collection. Not that 0470 is a safe queen. Far from it. It’s a highly practical, easy-to-EDC design that handles a wide range of tasks and looks good doing it. The blade is CPM 20CV high-chromium stainless steel. This powdered metallurgy tool steel has a high volume of vanadium carbides for exceptional wear resistance and a truly long-lasting edge. The highest level of chromium of any high-vanadium steel gives it excellent corrosion resistance as well. The two-tone, satin-and-stonewashed blade finish looks handsome, while our KVT ball-bearing opening and a flipper make the knife fast and easy to open. The 0470’s handle is titanium with an eye-catching marbled carbon fibre insert. Instead of a formal “weave” as in standard carbon fibre sheets, for our “marbled” insert, the carbon fibres are dropped randomly onto the plate. Then resin is added to secure the fibres and produce a smooth surface. ZT leaves ours with a matte finish for an intriguing and sophisticated look. A titanium clip and a black anodized-aluminium backspacer complete the look of this refined pocketknife. The new Zero Tolerance 0609 is a smaller, even more, carry-ready version of the original Factory Custom 0606CF from ZT, RJ Martin, and Matt Martin. Like the original, it offers a clean, streamlined look yet also has highly detailed handle machining that adds both grip and visual impact. For even more visual “wow,” the 3D-machined handle is built of light-yet-strong titanium that ZT has anodized in an attractive bronze. The 3.4-inch blade is CPM 20CV, which provides enhanced toughness and resistance to edge chipping. It also delivers superior hardness, corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention. The drop-point blade has a two-tone finish: machined satin on the grinds with a stonewashed finish on the flats. The new 0609 opens manually with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system and the handy flipper so it’s always ready when you want it. Last—but certainly not least—you’ll notice the oversized See-Through Pivot (STP). Designed by RJ Martin, this unique pivot is hollow in the centre, letting you “see through” it. The See-Through Pivot adds another intriguing touch to this already-attractive knife. A new STP Tool enables you to adjust this unique pivot to your liking. Made in the USA KVT ball-bearing opening system Frame lock, hardened steel lock bar insert Reversible clip (left/right, tip-up) Steel: CPM 20CV, stonewashed & satin finish Handle: Titanium, anodized bronze Blade Length: 3.4 in. The Zero Tolerance 0808BLK is a collaboration between ZT and custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and is based on his Cesium model. But the technology here isn’t circuits and wires. Instead, it’s advanced-formula stainless steel and ZT’s smooth-as-silk KVT opening system. The 0808BLK’s blade is built of CPM S35VN stainless steel. This powdered metallurgy steel is extremely fine-grained so it can be sharpened to a razor edge. Added niobium and nitrogen enhance toughness to resist chipping and provide excellent edge retention. Yet it’s also easy to re-sharpen. The opening is fast and simple with KVT. Caged ball bearings surround the pivot to make the blade quick and easy to open using the built-in flipper. With KVT, the 0808BLK is as easy to open as any assisted knife, but without the need for a spring. The 0808BLK’s blade is paired with chamfered titanium handles that provide a solid, and very durable, grip. The sturdy frame lock has a hardened steel lock bar insert to offer extra-secure, extra-solid blade lock up. The reversible pocket clip enables you to carry comfortably left- or right-handed. Move over, iPhone. The 0808BLK deserves pocket space. This DLC version of the 0808 is a sprint run, built in limited quantity. Check your local ZT dealer for availability. The new Zero Tolerance 0095BW offers a dramatic look and top performance. The 0095BW is built with premium quality materials—from its CPM S35VN blade steel to its solid titanium handles. S35VN ensures the 0095BW offers a reliable edge. Added niobium gives this powdered metallurgy steel improved toughness over S30V without loss of wear resistance. The end result is a sharp edge that lasts for a long time. Next, ZT adds a BlackWash™ finish to the 0095BW’s “harpoon-style” blade to give the knife a sleek, unified look and to hide hard-use scratches. The high-performance blade is paired with a titanium handle with wide, contoured chamfers to provide a secure, comfortable grip. A titanium frame lock with a hardened lock bar insert secures the blade open during use. ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system lets you open the 0095BW with speed and efficiency. The 0095BW’s pocket clip is reversible for left- and right-handed tip-up carry. Finally, a decorative, two-toned pivot adds a finishing touch to the 0095BW, completing the look of this solid handful of precision. Based on Les George's Harpy, the 0920's design is practical, functional, and extremely clean. The blade is CPM 20CV stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. This powdered metallurgy steel is considered one of the “super steels” for its top performance, offering outstanding edge holding capability and corrosion resistance. The blade has a scooped spine, top swedge, and a slight recurve for cutting versatility. The knife opens with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system for quick and easy manual opening with the built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lock bar insert secures the blade open during use. The titanium handle is fully 3D-machined so that it fits and fills the hand comfortably and smoothly. Machined texturing adds grip and the bead-blasted finish contrasts handsomely with the stonewashed blade. To help ensure this big folder is easy to carry, the insides of the handles are machined with weight-relieving pockets. ZT adds a touch of subtle colour with the bronze-anodized aluminium tube spacers and bronze-anodized bent titanium pocket clip, and a touch of class with the oversized pivot. Black-oxide hardware completes the 0920’s understated, yet aggressive look. This one is getting in under the wire—and you'll be glad it did. Meet the Deadline, from Kershaw and Matt Diskin. It's got a lot of special features between its two-toned stainless steel handles. First, there's the opening system. The Deadline opens with Kershaw’s KVT ball-bearing system. But a manual system like that has to have detent—often strong detent—to keep the blade in the handle until the user opens it. When the blade is fully closed, a depression in the blade is engaged by a ball partially embedded in the liner or handle. The interaction of ball and depression keeps the blade closed. The problem with that is that sometimes the detent is too strong to make opening the knife comfortable. The answer is our new Tuned Detent System (TDS)™. TDS puts the detent ball on the front scale of the knife in an inset steel plate. This plate enables us to “fine tune” the detent so that it’s perfect—not too heavy, not too light. With TDS, opening a manual flipper knife like this is as easy as opening any other flipper. Both blade and handle feature our two-toned finish. In this case, we used titanium carbo-nitride coating in the grinds and hollows and a satin finish on the flats. The result is a knife with a very distinctive look that walks the line between classy and tactical. The 8Cr13MoV blade is a modified Wharncliffe with a top swedge. The handles are two-tone-finished steel with cold-forged handle texture for a solid grip. A strong frame lock secures the blade open during use. We also added a decorative glass-filled nylon backspacer in matte black and a moveable steel filler tab so the look is nicely detailed and neatly finished. The pocket clip is Kershaw’s deep-carry pocket clip so that the knife rides comfortably low in your pocket.
