Based on Rick Hinderer’s Maximus, the new Kershaw Decimus offers a heroic look—and makes for a very distinctive EDC. The 8Cr13MoV blade is a single-edge bayonet grind with BlackWash™ finish for a handsomely dangerous look. It opens quickly and easily with SpeedSafe® assisted opening. The flipper itself is mirrored by a symmetrical protrusion on the back side of the knife, providing a short crossguard to keep your fingers safe. The handle is steel with a stonewashed finish and black, glass-filled-nylon overlays that have zigzag texturing inspired by the custom texture on the original Maximus and designed for both secure grip and good looks. As an additional detail, the handle also has a Hinderer-style filler tab with a stonewashed finish. This new design from Kershaw and Rick Hinderer are sure to draw admiring glances every time you use it. This one is getting in under the wire—and you'll be glad it did. Meet the Deadline, from Kershaw and Matt Diskin. It's got a lot of special features between its two-toned stainless steel handles. First, there's the opening system. The Deadline opens with Kershaw’s KVT ball-bearing system. But a manual system like that has to have detent—often strong detent—to keep the blade in the handle until the user opens it. When the blade is fully closed, a depression in the blade is engaged by a ball partially embedded in the liner or handle. The interaction of ball and depression keeps the blade closed. The problem with that is that sometimes the detent is too strong to make opening the knife comfortable. The answer is our new Tuned Detent System (TDS)™. TDS puts the detent ball on the front scale of the knife in an inset steel plate. This plate enables us to “fine tune” the detent so that it’s perfect—not too heavy, not too light. With TDS, opening a manual flipper knife like this is as easy as opening any other flipper. Both blade and handle feature our two-toned finish. In this case, we used titanium carbo-nitride coating in the grinds and hollows and a satin finish on the flats. The result is a knife with a very distinctive look that walks the line between classy and tactical. The 8Cr13MoV blade is a modified Wharncliffe with a top swedge. The handles are two-tone-finished steel with cold-forged handle texture for a solid grip. A strong frame lock secures the blade open during use. We also added a decorative glass-filled nylon backspacer in matte black and a moveable steel filler tab so the look is nicely detailed and neatly finished. The pocket clip is Kershaw’s deep-carry pocket clip so that the knife rides comfortably low in your pocket. The Fraxion, from Kershaw and Danish custom knife and toolmaker, Jens Ansø, is a proven hit—and a great choice for the knife user who prefers a contemporary look and a compact size. And now it’s available with a BlackWash™ blade and tan G10 handle with carbon fibre overlay. The black-and-tan Fraxion is a slim, sleek design that weighs in at a “Fraxion” of the weight of other comparable knives. The lighter weight is thanks to the streamlined design as well as to the light-yet-strong G10 handles with a handsome carbon fibre overlay. An inset liner lock secures the blade open during use while also helping keep down the overall weight and maintaining the handle’s comfortable slimness. The clip-point blade features a top swedge and a good-looking BlackWash finish. Built of 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the blade offers a sharp, long-lasting edge for day-to-day tasks. The Fraxion is a manual knife, but can be opened quickly, easily, and one-handed with the built-in flipper. For convenient left- or right-handed carry, the Fraxion is equipped with a reversible deep-carry pocket clip, enabling it to ride comfortably low in the pocket. Based on Les George's Harpy, the 0920's design is practical, functional, and extremely clean. The blade is CPM 20CV stainless steel with a stonewashed finish. This powdered metallurgy steel is considered one of the “super steels” for its top performance, offering outstanding edge holding capability and corrosion resistance. The blade has a scooped spine, top swedge, and a slight recurve for cutting versatility. The knife opens with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system for quick and easy manual opening with the built-in flipper. A titanium frame lock with hardened steel lock bar insert secures the blade open during use. The titanium handle is fully 3D-machined so that it fits and fills the hand comfortably and smoothly. Machined texturing adds grip and the bead-blasted finish contrasts handsomely with the stonewashed blade. To help ensure this big folder is easy to carry, the insides of the handles are machined with weight-relieving pockets. ZT adds a touch of subtle colour with the bronze-anodized aluminium tube spacers and bronze-anodized bent titanium pocket clip, and a touch of class with the oversized pivot. Black-oxide hardware completes the 0920’s understated, yet aggressive look. The new Zero Tolerance 0095BW offers a dramatic look and top performance. The 0095BW is built with premium quality materials—from its CPM S35VN blade steel to its solid titanium handles. S35VN ensures the 0095BW offers a reliable edge. Added niobium gives this powdered metallurgy steel improved toughness over S30V without loss of wear resistance. The end result is a sharp edge that lasts for a long time. Next, ZT adds a BlackWash™ finish to the 0095BW’s “harpoon-style” blade to give the knife a sleek, unified look and to hide hard-use scratches. The high-performance blade is paired with a titanium handle with wide, contoured chamfers to provide a secure, comfortable grip. A titanium frame lock with a hardened lock bar insert secures the blade open during use. ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system lets you open the 0095BW with speed and efficiency. The 0095BW’s pocket clip is reversible for left- and right-handed tip-up carry. Finally, a decorative, two-toned pivot adds a finishing touch to the 0095BW, completing the look of this solid handful of precision. The Zero Tolerance 0808BLK is a collaboration between ZT and custom knifemaker Todd Rexford and is based on his Cesium model. But the technology here isn’t circuits and wires. Instead, it’s advanced-formula stainless steel and ZT’s smooth-as-silk KVT opening system. The 0808BLK’s blade is built of CPM S35VN stainless steel. This powdered metallurgy steel is extremely fine-grained so it can be sharpened to a razor edge. Added niobium and nitrogen enhance toughness to resist chipping and provide excellent edge retention. Yet it’s also easy to re-sharpen. The opening is fast and simple with KVT. Caged ball bearings surround the pivot to make the blade quick and easy to open using the built-in flipper. With KVT, the 0808BLK is as easy to open as any assisted knife, but without the need for a spring. The 0808BLK’s blade is paired with chamfered titanium handles that provide a solid, and very durable, grip. The sturdy frame lock has a hardened steel lock bar insert to offer extra-secure, extra-solid blade lock up. The reversible pocket clip enables you to carry comfortably left- or right-handed. Move over, iPhone. The 0808BLK deserves pocket space. This DLC version of the 0808 is a sprint run, built in limited quantity. Check your local ZT dealer for availability. The new Zero Tolerance 0609 is a smaller, even more, carry-ready version of the original Factory Custom 0606CF from ZT, RJ Martin, and Matt Martin. Like the original, it offers a clean, streamlined look yet also has highly detailed handle machining that adds both grip and visual impact. For even more visual “wow,” the 3D-machined handle is built of light-yet-strong titanium that ZT has anodized in an attractive bronze. The 3.4-inch blade is CPM 20CV, which provides enhanced toughness and resistance to edge chipping. It also delivers superior hardness, corrosion resistance, and excellent edge retention. The drop-point blade has a two-tone finish: machined satin on the grinds with a stonewashed finish on the flats. The new 0609 opens manually with ZT’s KVT ball-bearing opening system and the handy flipper so it’s always ready when you want it. Last—but certainly not least—you’ll notice the oversized See-Through Pivot (STP). Designed by RJ Martin, this unique pivot is hollow in the centre, letting you “see through” it. The See-Through Pivot adds another intriguing touch to this already-attractive knife. A new STP Tool enables you to adjust this unique pivot to your liking. ZT is proud to offer the model 0301, a top-quality, hard-use knife equipped with the patented SpeedSafe assisted opening system. SpeedSafe enables users to deploy the blade one-handed—using an ambidextrous flipper. In addition to SpeedSafe, the 0301 features a tough CPM S30V stainless steel blade with ZT’s tiger stripe Tungsten DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. The S30V blade steel is designed to provide the perfect combination of durability, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The Tungsten DLC tiger striping not only provides a non-reflective camouflaged surface but also enhances blade hardness and reduces friction drag. The 0301’s Ranger Green scales are 3D-machined G10 in the front and titanium on the back for incredible mechanical strength, a super-secure grip, and a solid blade lock up. The 0301 also features a 3/8-inch hex head pivot shaft nut that makes field adjustments fast and easy with minimal tools. In addition, this dynamic folding knife comes with Zero Tolerance’s Quad-mount system so you can configure the knife for tip-up or tip-down carry, left- or right-handed. This handsome new design from ZT and Dmitry Sinkevich begs to take pride of place in your collection. Not that 0470 is a safe queen. Far from it. It’s a highly practical, easy-to-EDC design that handles a wide range of tasks and looks good doing it. The blade is CPM 20CV high-chromium stainless steel. This powdered metallurgy tool steel has a high volume of vanadium carbides for exceptional wear resistance and a truly long-lasting edge. The highest level of chromium of any high-vanadium steel gives it excellent corrosion resistance as well. The two-tone, satin-and-stonewashed blade finish looks handsome, while our KVT ball-bearing opening and a flipper make the knife fast and easy to open. The 0470’s handle is titanium with an eye-catching marbled carbon fibre insert. Instead of a formal “weave” as in standard carbon fibre sheets, for our “marbled” insert, the carbon fibres are dropped randomly onto the plate. Then resin is added to secure the fibres and produce a smooth surface. ZT leaves ours with a matte finish for an intriguing and sophisticated look. A titanium clip and a black anodized-aluminium backspacer complete the look of this refined pocketknife.
