Quad bike trails in Zambia

Quad bikes can go where other forms of transport can’t, which makes them a fun and versatile means of game spotting in the African bush. Quad Bike trails offered in Livingstone:

  • Eco Trail at Batokaland: Eco trail is an exciting 1 hour ride that covers most of the 42 acres of the private Batoka Land taking you through the African bush, round bends, through ditches and over humps. Chances are you might even meet game along the way if your lucky. You will have a break half way through the trail to allow you to refresh.
  • Village trail: this is an adrenaline-charged trail which lasts for about 150 minutes and can be custom made according to the preferences of clients. The village trail takes you from Mukuni to Machenje Village over a dune, through dense bush and on to the Sichilobe Village. You will then have a break to refresh then you will turn round and head back.

Safety

Travel with a reputable company so you ensure that both your safety, quality of vehicles and also the company is using environmentally friendly routes. This will ensure that rare animal species and plants are not threatened. A 2 hour quad bike safari may travel approximately 38 – 55 km where not only will the adrenaline thrill be met but also maybe sand boarding, plenty of photo opportunities and refreshments should be included.

Clothing

Wear clothing that is strong and covers your arms and legs. Gloves are useful for protection and handlebar muffs can help to keep hands warm in cold weather for good control of the quad. Wear sturdy, ankle-covering footwear, for example, boots or wellingtons that are strong, supportive and have good wet grip. Protect your eyes from insects and branches with either a visor or goggles.
