Students work on Plastic Pollution Awareness Project

The grade 8 students from the International School of Lusaka (ISL) have been working on a plastics project in their Science class to try to increase awareness of plastic pollution and share ideas about reducing our use of plastics. This coincides with Earth Day which was on the 22nd April. This year the theme for Earth Day was ' End Plastic Pollution'.

As part of this project each group designed a poster and a stop motion video. They also wrote letters to local businesses asking them to consider ideas to reduce their plastic use. These letters will be delivered this week while the students are in Livingstone and ISL is hoping to receive feedback from the businesses.

To see more updates from ISL, follow the school on Facebook.
