Highlights of Zambia Entrepreneurship Summit 2019

The 2019 Zambia Entrepreneurship Summit (ZES) was held at the New Government Complex on May 14. This year’s Summit, themed “Entrepreneurship and Innovation: The Future Now, Leaving No One Behind", The U.S. Embassy partnered with WECREATE Zambia, the American Chamber of Commerce, Hivos, and Atlas Mara, to bring you the biggest entrepreneurship event in Zambia.

President Edgar Lungu was the Guest of Honor at the opening ceremony, where U.S. Ambassador Daniel L. Foote joined him in viewing some of the exhibits and meeting some of Zambia’s brightest entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurs attended the event and pitched in their business ideas to potential lenders, investors and partners. Exhibitors included banks, microfinance institutions, development agencies and entrepreneurship resource providers.

The U.S. Government is committed to promoting entrepreneurship for Zambian women and youth for a better economic future.
