- Deluxe suites, a safari experience, with the surrounding private wilderness areas

Royal Zambezi Lodge is on the edge of the Lower Zambezi National Park and offers a rich wildlife and birding experience just across the river from Mana Pools National Park in Zimbabwe. The restaurant features well sourced, fresh local ingredients in exciting and healthy combinations.
At the Royal Zambezi Lodge you can also sip an ice cold G&T or other beverage of your choice at the legendary Sausage Tree Bar, and enjoy a dip in the long oval infinity pool.
The presidential suites offers the ultimate in luxury and both these suites have a lounge and lots of living space. Extra beds can always be provided if needed.
The Kansanshi presidential suite is the only brick chalet at the lodge. The Frontier presidential suite is made out of luxurious canvas. They both have a beautifully decorated and spacious lounge, private pool and outside shower with copper roll top bath opening onto the river. A sala (day bed) has recently been added for afternoon siestas and peaceful afternoons overlooking the grassy plains and grazing wildlife.
The Frontier suite is at one end of the lodge and right next to the animal ‘road’ where herds of buffalo, elephant, impala and other animals make their way onto the large grassy plain in front of the lodge. In effect, the Frontier suite has its own private game park.
The deluxe suites offers a wonderful safari experience, allowing guests to interact with the surrounding private wilderness areas. Sipolilo and Royal are the same as the classic rooms (below) with the added luxury of a private pool, day bed (sala) and an outside bathroom with shower and roll top copper bath. (If you don’t fancy the outside bathroom, these suites also have an inside bathroom.) Note that the Royal suite exclusively offers an upstairs area, giving an amazing view over the Zambezi River.
The Wilderness deluxe suite is a recent addition to the lodge, so named because it has a real ‘bush feel’ to it. Local materials have been used to build the floors, deck, cupboards and roof. It comes with a private pool and a fabulous view of the Zambezi river.
Two of the deluxe suites have a private pool.
The classic suites are impeccably furnished with natural tones, luxurious textures and incredible comfort, creating a wonderful retreat. These rooms each come with an indoor bathroom (with a view of the bush) and their own deck (with views onto the river). They are all situated along the river bank.
Two of the rooms can be used separately or as a joint family unit. A room that links the two has recently been completed. This additional room comes with sofas and board games, allowing families to spend time together in their own living room area, with the option of private dinners.
The main pool is situated opposite the family suite so the kids can swim close to the family suite and parents can keep watch from their decks. It is situated close to the main building too, so parents can keep an eye on their children after they’ve gone to bed.
